Floor/Building

On the second floor of a typical Nicois building without a lift. There are just 28 steps before you enter the apartment.

This holiday rental is situated up a small hill, just off Place Saint Francois, in the Old Town. The hill is more of a short incline and guests shouldn't be concerned by it, (its very easy we promise) though you should take note if you are with small children or have very elderly parents with you. The advantage is that, while being literally seconds away from the charm and character that the Old Town has to offer, the apartment is tucked away in a quieter spot.

Neighbourhood

This enticing rental apartment provides a great base for enjoying everything that holidaymakers love about the Old Town. From rue Guigonis it is only a few minutes walk, past Cours Saleya and its daily market, to the beach and the renowned Promenade des Anglais. The attractive Port is also just five minutes away, and several bus lines and the tram are easily accessible.

Living Area

The living room provides a comfortable setting to unwind in front of a film, enjoy a meal or an apéro on the balcony with charming Old Town views. Decorated in light, sandy tones and softly lit for a peaceful ambiance, there is a corner sofa and circular glass dining table.

There is also a TV, separate armchair and wall mounted mirror.

Kitchen

The separate kitchen is situated at the front of property with views over another quiet Old Town street. Well-appointed and decorated in a more traditional Provençal style there is a four ring gas hob, oven, washing machine and fridge with small freezer compartment.

Bedrooms

The bedroom follows in the same elegantly glamorous style as the rest of the apartment. It holds a double bed with bedside table and reading lamps either side, a chest of draws and a built in wardrobe.

Bathroom

The reasonable sized bathroom, like the rest of the apartment, has been completely renovated to provide a comfortable wash room. There is a walk-in shower, wash basin, small storage facilities, large mirror and toilet.

How to get there

By Car

Visit our transport page for full tram, taxi and bus information. Our recommendation from either T1 or T2 is the tram, transfer or taxi.

The Line 2 Tram from either T1 or T2. Fare ride is 1.50€ and takes approximately 25 minutes not including time for changing trams. Trams generally run every six minutes. You need to change tramline at Jean Medecin. Disembark at the Vieille Ville - Cathedrale and it’s about three minutes walk to the apartment.

A transfer with keys, booked through our site, will guarantee you an early check-in of 13:00 and will be a pleasant 20 minute ride. You will be picked up in the arrival terminal by the driver holding a name card, who is in possession of your keys. See our TRAVEL EXTRAS PAGE or select at checkout.

Taxis can be picked up at either terminal.

Most guests who take a taxi or arrange a transfer choose to be dropped off at Place St Francois because the Old Town area is pedestrianised and the taxi driver will not be able to drive to the entrance of the apartment building. It is less than a five minute walk to the apartment building.

We can meet you outside the apartment building, or at the tram stop, or at Place St Francois, as you prefer.

If you are coming to Nice from somewhere else in France, we recommend you take an SNCF train to the main Nice Ville station.

From the strain station, the tram provides a cheap, convenient way to get to your apartment. When you leave the Gare, turn left and follow Avenue Thiers, until you come to Avenue Jean Medecin. The trams come every five minutes and tickets cost 1.50€. Take the tram to Vieille Ville - Cathedrale, from where it is a three minute walk to the the apartment.

The nearest car park to our Nice apartment Amaryllis is Corvesy car park at 3 Rue Alexandre Mari, which is a seven minute walk from the apartment. Alternatively, the Promenade des Arts, 18 Avenue Saint-Jean-Baptiste is also a seven minute walk from the apartment. It is across the tram lines from the apartment. We will send you a GPS reference and full address with your arrival details.

Unfortunately, you can expect to pay up to 30€ a day for parking in central locations.
