Neighbourhood

In the heart of the Old Town and located just next door to one of Nice’s best patisseries, locations don’t get much better than this. Within 200 metres of the apartment you have an extraordinary wine cellar, a great cheese shop, fresh pasta shops and also the local market.

The Promenade des Anglais and the beach are a three minute walk away, as is Place Massena. It is also close to a tram stop which is ideal for accessing the train station if you don't feel like walking for 25 minutes. For those interested in French fashion, the high street shops on Avenue Jean Medecin are just a five to ten minute walk away and the luxury boutiques can be found a further five minutes stroll away around Avenue de Suede.

Living Area

Traditional terracotta tiles and clean white walls have been furnished with a deep, comfortable, light grey two seater sofa and two separate blue armchairs with a natural wood coffee table and TV cabinet. There is Wi-Fi and a few English news channels via the flat screen TV. This light and spacious area comes with a beautiful open view, a rarity in the Old Town, looking down towards Place Massena and the hills beyond.

Kitchen

The open plan kitchen comes with all the mod cons including a four-ring ceramic hob, microwave, oven, dishwasher, large fridge freezer and a washing machine. There is also plenty of storage in the clean white cupboards.

Bedrooms

The first of two spacious bedrooms holds a king size bed with natural wood headboard, bedside tables and reading lamps either side. There is also plenty of storage in the fitted cupboards. This room has been finished with touches of sumptuous blue velvet and light pink.

The second bedroom holds two single beds with bedside tables and reading lamps either side, a black leather armchair and a small free standing wardrobe all finished with touches of sunny yellow in the soft furnishings.

Bathroom

There is one bathroom in this apartment simply decorated with white tiles there is a bath with shower attachment, toilet and wash basin with vanity unit and mirror.

How to get there

By Car

Visit our transport page for full tram, taxi and bus information. Our recommendation from either T1 or T2 is the tram, transfer or taxi.

The Line 2 Tram from either T1 or T2. Fare ride is 1.50€ and takes approximately 25 minutes, not including time to change trams. Trams generally run every six minutes. You need to change tramline at Jean Medecin. Disembark at the Vieille Ville - Opera tram stop and it’s about three minute walk to the apartment building. Alternatively, you can avoid the tramline change and stay on the tram to the Garibaldi / Le Chateau tram stop, from where it's a ten minute walk to the apartment.

A transfer with keys, booked through our site, will guarantee you an early check-in of 13:00 and will be a pleasant 30 minute ride. You will be picked up in the arrival terminal by the driver holding a name card, who is in possession of your keys. See our TRAVEL EXTRAS PAGE or select at checkout.

Taxis can be picked up at either terminal.

Most guests who take a taxi or transfer choose to be dropped off at Place du Palais de Justice because the Old Town area is pedestrianised and the taxi driver will not be able to drive to the entrance of the apartment building.

If you are coming to Nice from somewhere else in France, we recommend you take an SNCF train to Gare Nice Ville.

From the station, the tram provides a cheap, convenient way to get to your apartment. When you leave the Gare, turn left and follow Avenue Thiers, until you come to Avenue Jean Medecin. The trams come every five minutes and tickets cost 1.50€. Take the tram to Vielle Ville - Opera which is a three minute walk from the apartment building.

If you prefer to take a taxi, this will take about 10-15 minutes from Gare Nice Ville.

The nearest car park to the apartment is Parking Palais de Justice car park at Palais de Justice, which is approximately a five minute walk. We will send you a GPS reference and full address with your arrival details.

Unfortunately, you can expect to pay up to 30€ a day for parking in central locations.
