Floor/Building
1st floor of a Bourgeois building with a lift - pushchairs cannot be taken in the lift. The impressive building has several traditional features including the Belle Epoque Terrazzo tiles.

Neighbourhood
This rental apartment in Nice is located in the heart of the centre in the very desirable area known as the Carré d'Or. It is very close to the beach - a two minute walk (just two blocks or streets) will bring you onto the Promenade des Anglais.

One road down from the apartment, on rue de France, there is a great selection of local shops including a bakery, a butcher's, a deli, a brasserie and a florist. Just around the corner, is the small but perfectly formed Cite de la Buffa market, open seven days a week. There is also a good choice of supermarkets nearby, so guests will never have far to go to stock up.

Nice's Old Town and Cours Saleya daily market is a fifteen minute stroll away. The local bus route is close by and the airport express bus is located on the Promenade. The main bus stops and train station are about a 15 minute walk away and the Port and Castle Hill will take about 20 minutes by foot.

Living Area
The double living area is light and spacious; the three-seater sofa is incredibly comfortable and with the two armchairs guests will be able to sit down together and enjoy an aperitif before dinner. The dining table, with its feature lamp overhead, will easily seat eight, so there is plenty of space even if you invite friends over to eat.

From the living area, guests can step through the French doors to enjoy the sea view at the end of the street - the turquoise Mediterranean glistens away, calling you down to the beach.

The separate study is an inviting room to relax and unwind in. Here guests can curl up with a book, watch TV or DVD's. The writing desk offers a place to set up your computer and catch up on emails or to send a quick message to friends and family. Alternatively, just pull the armchair up to the corner window and take in the fabulous sea view.

Kitchen
Cooking enthusiasts won't believe their luck with this kitchen; all the saucepans and cooking equipment are top notch, there is a five-ring induction hob, an oversized oven, fridge freezer and integrated dishwasher and washing machine.

We love the coral theme and the attention to detail (even the handles have been carefully chosen).

Bedrooms
Both inviting bedrooms come with double glazed windows and traditional shutters.

Decorated with seagull feature wallpaper and King Size bed, the master bedroom will immediately give you that holiday feeling. It comes with plenty of storage space, bedside tables with reading lights, and wall-mounted DVD player as well as French doors which open out onto a Juliette balcony. It also has the convenience of an ensuite bathroom.

Just as stylish, the second bedroom, complete with dressing table, mirror and an arm chair, comes with a Single bed, reading lamp and a single wardrobe.

Bathroom
There are two bathrooms in the apartment. The ensuite to the master bedroom comes with a walk-in shower, toilet, washbasin with vanity unit and mirror as well as a heated towel rail.

The second bathroom is located just outside the second bedroom. It offers a walk-in shower, washbasin with vanity unit and mirror and a heated towel rail. There is a separate WC across the corridor.

How to get there

By Car

Visit our transport page for full tram, taxi and bus information. Our recommendation from either T1 or T2 is the tram, transfer or taxi.

The Line 2 Tram from either T1 or T2. Fare ride is 1.50€ and takes approximately 20 minutes. Trams generally run every six minutes. Disembark at the Alsace Lorraine tram stop and it’s a four minute walk to the apartment.

We can meet you outside the apartment building, or at the tram stop at street level by the lift, as you prefer.

A transfer with keys, booked through our site, will guarantee you an early check-in of 13:00 and will be a pleasant 20 minute ride. You will be picked up in the arrival terminal by the driver holding a name card, who is in possession of keys. See our TRAVEL EXTRAS PAGE or select at checkout.

Taxis can be picked up at either terminal.

If you are coming to Nice from somewhere else in France, we recommend you take an SNCF train to Gare Nice Ville. From there, you can walk to the apartment in about 15 minutes. You may prefer to take a bus to the apartment, which costs 1.50€ per person. To take a bus to the Rivoli apartment, it is best to use the Nice Riqiuer train station and use bus number 7, to the Rivoli stop. From there, it is an easy walk to the apartment that will take about three minutes.

If you wish to take a taxi, the taxi rank is located outside the front entrance of Gare Nice Ville and the journey to Rivoli will take approximately five minutes.

Driving in Nice can be a challenge. We strongly advise GPS or a very good map. A car park near the apartment is Palais Massena at 29 Promenade des Anglais, which is a five minute walk to the apartment. Alternatively, parking may be available in Parking Meyerbeer at 3 Rue Meyerbeer and requires a walk of about five minutes. We will send you a GPS reference and full address with your arrival details. Unfortunately, you can expect to pay up to 30€ a day for parking in central locations. We can meet you at the car park or outside the apartment as you prefer.
