Floor/Building
6th floor (top floor) of an Art Deco residence with a two-person lift and a security gate at the entrance. The three bedroom Adele Hugo apartment is located on the floor below.


Neighbourhood
If you choose to stay at our Alsace Lorraine apartment, you will be within a five minute walk of the beach, ten minutes of the Pedestrian Zone, and fifteen minutes of the Old Town.

This is a residential area where lots of locals live. As a result, there are multiple supermarkets and some excellent bakeries to hand. The apartment is located opposite an attractive park - the Jardin Alsace Lorraine - and just one street up from the covered Buffa market.

Well-placed for transport links, there are several buses which stop nearby and the train station is about ten minutes away on foot.

Living Area
The dual aspect living room has patio doors at either end which lead out onto the apartment's tempting terraces. An investment of double thick (argon) glazed windows were installed in June 2018 for heat control and noise reduction. Step out and take in the views to the north and south. The larger terrace comes complete with a table and chairs for dining al fresco with an awning overhead should you want some shade. There is also an ever-welcome sunlounger. Recently for better security an additional railing, 1meter 20 height, was added on the south terrace.

With its modern artistic decor and electric colours, this spacious living area consists of a sofa, armchairs a large ottoman and coffee tables. Entertainment is well catered for in the form of a TV with some English channels, DVD player, Hi-Fi and Wi-Fi. There is also office area in the hall with a desk and printer/scanner (bluetooth) plus an impressive book collection in English, French and Italian, which you are welcome to peruse during your stay.

Should guests ever choose to dine inside, there is a large dining area just across from the kitchen.


Kitchen
Bright and airy, the kitchen is separated from the dining area by a large hatch with three high Kartel stools. Through the window, which features some of the apartment’s signature stained glass, guests will enjoy views of the hills as they put together a bite to eat.

Equipped with an oven, microwave, three-ring induction hob, fridge/freezer, Nespresso machine and dishwasher, there are also several utensils available, so everything is to hand should you want to conjure up something to rival even the most celebrated Michelin restaurant.


Bedrooms
The two bedrooms are similar in size. Both have traditional shutters, fitted wardrobes, parquet flooring and patio doors leading out onto the vast terrace. Double glazed windows have been installed in each bedroom, for heat control and noise reduction.

The main bedroom is decorated in warm natural tones and has a super king size bed and two bedside tables, fitted reading lights above + personal reading lights and one radio. There is also a full size mirror on the wall.

Decorated in shades of soft shades of blue, the second bedroom has a king size bed with two bedside tables, fitted reading lamps above and personal reading lights.

Bathroom
Recently renovated, the stylish bathroom comes with a luxury bath with 2 showers, his and hers washbasins, toilet, and heated towel rail. Like all the rooms on this side of the building, the bathroom has patio doors which lead out onto the terrace.

There is also a separate WC with washbasin and mirror.

How to get there
From the Airport

By Car

Visit our transport page for full tram, taxi and bus information. Our recommendation from either T1 or T2 is the tram, transfer or taxi.

The Line 2 Tram from either T1 or T2. Fare ride is 1.50€ and takes approximately 20 minutes. Trams generally run every 6-8 minutes. Disembark at the Alsace Lorraine tram stop, which is at the foot of the apartment building.

We can meet you outside the apartment building or at the Alsace Lorraine tram stop at street level by the lift, as you prefer.

A transfer with keys, booked through our site, will guarantee you an early check-in of 13:00 and will be a pleasant 15 minute ride. You will be picked up in the arrival terminal by the driver holding a name card, who is in possession of your keys. See our TRAVEL EXTRAS PAGE or select at checkout.

Taxis can be picked up at either terminal.

If you are coming to Nice from somewhere else in France, we recommend you take an SNCF train to Gare Nice Ville.

From the station, you can use the local bus network as a cheap method of transport. Take bus Number 12 from the train station to Gambetta France from where it is only a short walk to the apartment.

The tram provides a cheap, convenient way to get to your apartment, although it does require changing tram lines. When you leave the Gare, turn left and follow Avenue Thiers, until you come to Avenue Jean Medecin. The trams come every five minutes and tickets cost 1.50€. Take the tram just one stop and change tramlines at the Jean Medecin stop, then disembark after just one stop at the Alsace Lorraine tram stop, which is at the foot of the apartment building.

Should you wish to take a taxi, the taxi rank can be found in front the Gare SNCF and will take about five minutes to reach the apartment by taxi.

Driving in Nice can be a challenge. We strongly advise GPS or a very good map. A car park near the apartment is Parking Palmiera at 47 Rue Saint-Philippe and requires a walk of about five minutes from the apartment. Alternatively, parking may be available in Parking Grimaldi at 11 Rue Maccarani, which is a ten minute walk from the apartment. We will send you a GPS reference and full address with your arrival details.

Unfortunately, you can expect to pay up to 30€ a day for parking in central locations.
