Floor/Building

1st floor of a bourgeois building with a lift. Like most lifts in this area, it is small and will only hold two people, or one person with luggage. We're afraid an unfolded pushchair will not fit in the lift. If walking, it is 15 steps up to the 1st floor of average steepness.

Neighbourhood

The apartment is located on the first floor of an impressive bourgeois building, just off the pedestrian area. It is less than five minutes’ walk to the Promenade, beach and shopping district. If you fancy a change from the beach, then relax in the pretty park just a few minutes from the apartment right across the road from the Anglican church, which also hosts an Anglo-American library with an impressive choice of 20,000 books in its grounds.

The bus station is about a 15 minute walk from the apartment and the nearest tram stop is just five minutes away. There are also two car parks very nearby.

Living Area

This spacious living area is ideal for relaxation or entertaining guests in its large open space. The elegant furniture, marble fireplace, gilt framed mirror and heavy curtains give off a real feeling of grandeur, and a modern twist is added with the contemporary paintings and soft furnishings.

The dining area is off the living room and has a large dining table with seating for six.

Kitchen

The kitchen has a friendly feel with its central table workspace combo. It’s the perfect place for an informal breakfast or to keep the chef company.

As well as having plenty of storage space, the kitchen comes complete with a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven and microwave. The kitchen table has four high stools; all the better for admiring the architecture of the Anglican church through the large window.

Bedrooms

Both bedrooms are similar in size and are located at opposite ends of the apartment. There is a hallway separating them from the living area and each other, ensuring plenty of privacy.

The master bedroom is ensuite with a Super King Size bed, bedside tables with reading lamps, and two elegant chairs on either side of the bed. The large window with a Juliette balcony means the room is sun-dappled during the day. A double wardrobe provides plenty of space for your clothes.

The second bedroom has two single beds, and a shared bedside table with bedside lamp. You will find hanging space in the hallway just outside the bedroom.

There is enough space in the bedroom for a baby cot which can be ordered from us at checkout.

Bathroom

The ensuite bathroom off the main bedroom has a shower, wash basin and vanity area, as well as toilet and towel heater. The large window allows lots of natural light in, but has opaque glass for privacy.

The second bathroom is located down the hall from the living area, just outside the second bedroom. It has a bath with shower attachment, toilet, wash basin with overhead mirror, and towel heater.

Visit our transport page for full tram, taxi and bus information. Our recommendation from either T1 or T2 is the tram, transfer or taxi.

The Line 2 Tram from either T1 or T2. Fare ride is 1.50€ and takes approximately 20 minutes. Trams generally run every six minutes. Disembark at the Alsace Lorraine tram stop and it’s about a nine minute walk to the apartment.

We can meet you outside the apartment building, or at the tram stop at street level by the lift, as you prefer.

A transfer with keys, booked through our site, will guarantee you an early check-in of 13:00 and will be a pleasant 20 minute ride. You will be picked up in the arrival terminal by the driver holding a name card, who is in possession of your keys. See our TRAVEL EXTRAS PAGE or select at checkout.

Taxis can be picked up at either terminal.

If you are coming to Nice from somewhere else in France, we recommend you take an SNCF train to Gare Nice Ville.

From the station, the tram provides a cheap, convenient way to get to your apartment. When you leave the Gare, turn left and follow Avenue Thiers, until you come to Avenue Jean Medecin. The trams come every five minutes and tickets cost 1.50€. Take the tram just two stops down the tram line, less than a five minute journey, and get off at Massena. It is then an eight minute walk from Massena to your apartment.

Driving in Nice can be a challenge. We strongly advise GPS or a very good map. A car park near the apartment is Parking Meyerbeer at 3 Rue Meyerbeer and requires a walk of about four minutes from the apartment. Alternatively, parking may be available in Parking Louvre at 20 Boulevard Victor Hugo which is a six minute walk to the apartment. We will send you a GPS reference and full address with your arrival details.

Unfortunately, you can expect to pay up to 30€ a day for parking in central locations.
