Here's what our Guests have written in our guest book or emailed us after their stay for our rental apartment Le Thiers:
Third time in Nice this year (including a brief visit for the Paris–Nice cycle race) but first time at Le Thiers. Wonderful holiday apartment, but as usual we have only really been here at the start and end of the day - too much to do! Made good use of the bikes on trips to Beaulieu (via Cap Ferrat) and especially up into the hills surrounding the Var valley. Just follow the cycle path past the airport to St Laurent and then right up the side of the river all the way to St Morlin du Var. Cycle path all the way and lovely quiet roads up to the villages. Slightly hampered by the usual rail strikes on this visit but thankfully the weather has been good and, when not, DVDs have been very useful. Very sad to be returning to grey Britain!

We have had a wonderful holiday in Nice. Thank you for a lovely apartment!

I write this on our last night in Le Thiers in Nice. This has been our first stay in France and our first self-catering apartment. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here at Le Thiers due to the home from home entertainment you have provided. The personal touches have been second to none i.e. DVDs, music, literature that you’ve provided etc etc. We have been very impressed with Nice as a city and holiday destination. We have made good use of the transport links to visit both Cannes and Monaco for 1 euro on the bus. The trams have been vital to our stay as they have eased our poor feet! The bikes were a godsend and we thoroughly enjoyed using them to explore the city. However, do recommend more cushioned seats for those who have a more delicate derriere due to lack of cycling at home! We’ve enjoyed the food in and out of the apartment and recommend ‘La Claire Fontaine’ for a quick and tasty lunch and ‘Fennochio’s’ for ice cream afterwards – both in old town Nice. The Cours Saleya is great for people-watching and soaking up the atmosphere. We recommend the ‘Monoprix’ supermarket in Jean Medecin for all your self catering requirements. We loved our stay and will sing Le Thiers praises back home. Best wishes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your apartment. It was a great way to end our month long holiday in Europe. We appreciated all of the additional touches to make our stay more comfortable, such as music discs, DVDs and bicycles. The location of the apartment was quite convenient for our frequent travels and the accommodation was quite comfortable. One suggestion would be better lighting in the bathroom. Other than that we like your attention to detail and great lengths you have gone to in order to make our holiday enjoyable.

This is a great apartment from which to enjoy Nice. It is very comfortable and well designed to maximise the relaxation and holiday activities of the guests. We really appreciated the bikes to get around and explore. We made a day trip to Villefranche and for those who can cope with the hills it was a great day out. The little touches with music and DVDs were great. Two great restaurants Boccaccio & le Tire Bouchon Restaurant Gastronomique. Kind regards,

We have had a wonderful time here in Nice. The apartment has been a constant source of joy through all of the small thoughtful touches by John & Julie. A couple of rainy days at the start but after that the weather has been amazing.... Villefranche sur Mer is a charming town. It’s also worth the trip to St Tropez as its port and walks are great. Have been feasting on crepes and salad Nicoise. We also enjoyed the local market past the train station. I would highly recommend Nice as a holiday destination and of course the apartment. Many thanks,

Visiting Nice for the past 10 years, we have found it the ideal holiday destination. Having plenty of fascinating towns to visit Cagnes-sur-Mer, Cannes, Cap Ferrat, Eze. The apartment has been a great location for easy access – bus/train/tram for all the above and more! The apartment has all the necessary needs for a good base in order to explore all the region has to offer. Pebbles are a good, efficient, management company and I would definitely use again. Many thanks and every success with your business venture.

With the season at an end we have returned to remind ourselves why we love it so much here. Weather still warm enough to wear short sleeves and sit outside the cafes. We used the bikes quite a lot including a trip to Fort du Mont-Alban situated next to Mount Boron to the right of the observatory as you stand on the balcony. Done a bit of DIY - changed the kitchen taps, varnished the table and did a quick recce on the roof to check for a satellite dish location (next project). Back in the New Year.

What a wee gem this apartment is, being so close to the train and the bus depots making it easy to access all areas of Côte D’Azur. We recommend the bus trip to Monaco/Monte Carlo, although you may have to stand all the way there on the bus, it costs only €1 and it’s worth it. The apartment for us was just like being at home, it was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need to cater for yourselves and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. One afternoon of bad weather allowed us to sit back and enjoy 4 movies out of many made available by the owners while enjoying wine and nibbles – we just chilled, bliss! Only downside for us was we could have done with additional heating for the cooler evenings. Also, with the noise from the main road below you may need ear plugs if you are a very light sleeper. Many thanks,

Our first visit of the new summer season – weather has been fantastic, finally fitted the satellite system and so with English Channels it really is home from home. The new ceiling fans have worked well, hopefully these will address those hot summer nights. Did our usual Monaco Grand Prix trip, had some friends staying with us a couple more. Nice converts now! All being well we will return in August - planning to drive down hopefully in an open top car (we haven’t got one yet). Hope you have a good holiday, keep up with the guest book comments – we love to read other people's thoughts and experiences.

We both loved the holiday apartment and its modern interior and would definitely recommend it.

Have been burned before booking on the internet where the apartment pictures looked respectable and then turn out to be a disappointment – not in this case! Really enjoyed Nice and would definitely recommend Riviera Pebbles.

We are writing at the end of our week long stay at this rental apartment, Le Thiers. It's clear that you have taken a great deal of care and put a lot of thought into equipping the apartment and it is to your credit that it genuinely felt like a home from home. We had a fabulous time - so much to do and all, but what to especially recommend to new arrivals..? Then they go and recommend all these places....
so it's back to Scotland for us now, just need to start planning the return trip!
Merci Beaucoup
