Here's what our Guests have written in our guest book or emailed us after their stay for our rental apartment Fougasse:

We’ve had many trips to Nice and the last two times have stayed using Nice Pebbles. We’re already trying to decide which holiday apartment to book next year with them. We’re making it a tradition to come over the Christmas and New Year holiday because we love the festive atmosphere. Each time we become more familiar with the city and its starting to feel like home.
Since we have stayed in the Old City in the past, we know to expect noise at night and have learnt to combat it. Search for white noise on “I tunes” and download it. For us, the Old Town is the only part of Nice to consider renting an apartment in, despite the noise. Thank you so much Matt and Gayle for so efficiently running your business and providing wonderful rental apartments. Until next year,
Neil Gilbert

Enjoyed Nice! Loved the holiday apartment – although night times were noisy – the location was brilliant (you can’t be in a city centre without noise – so why moan?!) Market was brilliant, great to bring back fresh produce and cook yourself. Food here is excellent. Really enjoyed our stay we would come back.

On the whole a great visit! Loved being so close to the market. Thanks for the welcome basket. Appreciated the booklet – Le Bistrot D’Antoine was a little too meat based for us. We had a wonderful time cycling to Antibes for a seaside lunch. The noise – Sophia has slept through crying children but was awakened multiple times each night. Noise versus proximity to the market...tough choice.

Dear Gayle and Matt, This holiday apartment is fantastic – a real home from home feel and the location is perfect. We see others have mentioned the noise at night, so we won’t – oh and those stairs! The weather unfortunately wasn’t great but it didn’t stop us having a great time in Nice. We would like to recommend the Bistrot D’Antoine – out of this world.

Enjoyed our stay in this lovely rental apartment in a great location. Think the apartment would benefit from air-conditioning and double glazing to keep out the weekend noise – amazed my daughter slept through it. Second time here and would love to come back to Nice. Would recommend Nice Pebbles to others. Stairs do keep you fit. All in all an enjoyable stay.
Manager's Note: as is typical in many Old Town buildings, it is not possible to install air-conditioning due to lack of permission Peter, Deborah and Rose, UK

We had a most wonderful stay in Nice. Weather was perfect, views were amazing and ambiance delightful. We will surely be returning to Nice and its beautiful enchanting surroundings locations Monaco Eze Villefranche the whole French Riviera. Beautiful apartment. Only complaint is we should have been told about the music festival that took place on our first two days. We hardly got any sleep because of the noise! However, this did NOT spoil our stay. Loved the convenience of cooking our own breakfasts and doing our own laundry. Many thanks for the gift basket and bottle of wine. We enjoyed it all. Overall a wonderful visit. Slept well after the music festival was over.

We had a very nice and relaxing stay in Nice. The Old Town has a great atmosphere and lots of nice restaurants. Thank you for the welcome basket and clear instructions. The bus was very easy to get to places along the French Riviera. The location of this holiday apartment was great because it was so close to the New Town and in the Old Town. Great DVDs and books. Maybe more fans or air-conditioning! Overall great apartment. We'll be returning soon. Thanks for everything.

Brill centrally located Nice apartment. It was so handy for the Old Town of Nice, the Promenade des Anglais and the bus station. Annina's induction was really helpful in getting us started. All the mod cons in the apartment made life easy but we would have loved some local TV channels [Now available! Nice Pebbles]. We are only half the size we were just through climbing the stairs 3 or 4 times a day. Nice Pebbles have been very helpful in making our stay enjoyable.

We had a lovely holiday in this lovely, beautifully appointed apartment. Situation is ideal even if the stairs are steep! Thank you for the welcome basket and your co-operation in making everything comfortable for us. Booking was easy. Thank you for everything.

Great apartment, great location, great Nice. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Everything was perfect starting from the weather and ending with the food. Internet and Wi-fi is definitely a great plus that we all enjoyed as are the international TV channels. The only minus is the lack of air-conditioning. Because of that we had to open the windows and pray for no crowd outside. In general we would recommend this place to our friends. Thanks a lot!

Nice Pebbles Team, we already said it in the guet book - but can I once again take this opportunity to say a big thank you for making our stay in Nice so special. From the warm welcome to being able to store luggage at the apartment. We loved our time at Fougasse - it was great to be so close to all the action and just a short walk from the Prom. We will be back. With many thanks.
The Lowson's

We can only agree with many of the comments made, loved Nice, the weather and exploring the restaurants, cafés and shops in the Old Town. We are from Australia and are pretty used to hot weather but we found it too hot and it is too noisy at night to leave the windows open. It is a great apartment in every other way, wonderful location and we found Nice Pebbles verey professional and easy to deal with.

Many thanks to the Nice Pebbles team for a great holiday in Old Town Nice. The Fougasse holiday apartment is the perfect location for seeing all of Nice, old and new, and the beach. Theere are so many excellent restauratns and bars in the area, you are spoilt for choice and we will come back again (to Fougasse) to try some more!
The weather has been excellent also, with long sunny days and warm delightful evenings. we come from a city in England and as such as used to a certain amount of noise in the evenings. With regards the previous comments about air conditioning, of course it would have been preferable to have it, but we were aware at time of booking that there was no air conditioning installed in the apartment and so no complaints!! Nice is a truly wonderful city and we can't wait to return.
David, Lyn &Sophie, England

We absolutely loved this Nice apartment and it's location in the heart of the Old Town. The facilities were great and we have no complaints. In particular we loved the bakery across the street. The weather was excellent and the holiday fantastic. We will be back again very soon!! Many thanks.

We enjoyed our stay with great meals at Chez Juliette (a few steps away) and Le Lodge on the Zone Pietonne. Private beach - Opera was comfortable with excellent menu as well as the Sporting (much farther down the Promenade). We took a train trip to Italy where we visited a nice town, market, and close to the sea, about 40 minutes away. The Gardens of Rothschild in Villefranche worth the bus trip. Another good trip is to Menton by bus or train. Quiet beach, several restaurants on the sidewalk at beach side.
Although the apartment was noisy some nights, the living room with closed doors is extremely quiet and easy to sleep. An excellent barket is the Temple du Pain across the street from the Post Office!

Thank you for such a special time while we were staying here, such a nice place! We do love this place as so close to everything and a great price. Some night is noisy but it is ok for us to stay up late anyway! We do love this place and we would recommend it to other people.

We loved Nice! The weather has been fantastic, sunshine all the way, apartment is great apart from no toaster, or microwave! Noisy at the weekend but not as bad as we expected. We got the bus (1€) to Monaco and Cap Ferrat (a lovely little place) and went to MaNolan's and Wayne's Bar in the Happy Hour (5pm-9pm). Beer too expensive any other time! All in all this was a great holiday and would definitely return (hopefully soon!).
Bernie &Mo, England

Six days in and we are still discovering parts of the Old Town not seen before. We've had a fab time, weather lovely (except for first day). We've even swam in the sea. Been on 1€ trips to Villefranche (for swimming), and Monaco (to choose our next boat!). Met friends who showed us around and ate and drank very well. However, the apartment is very noisy at night and yes I know we were warned! Elephants upstairs also a bit of a nuisance, although they must rest from about 10pm. Shame they didn't put in double glazing in bedrooms like they have in the peaceful bathroom. Great experience, many thanks to Nice Pebbles for making it all so easy and we hope to return to Nice soon.
