Great holiday apartment in a great location. Views to die for. We managed to squeeze a lot into seen days the Matisse Museum was a highlight as were day trips to Antibes and Monaco. We ate at L'Escalinada and really enjoyed it, but the exchange rate has left us a bit bruised! We thought the modern art gallery was very impressive although shops expensive. I think it would be better in summer.

We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in Nice at the Ponchettes Plage holiday apartment. Bruno was very helpful; the apartment was of course beautifully located just across the road from the beach; and I need not expand on the wonders of the Cote d'Azur. But what our enlarged family most enjoyed about Ponchettes Plage were its furnishings and amenities.
The large-screen TV and Wii game station pleased the kids until they discovered the body surf board. The adults were happy with the air conditioning, the WiFi, the excellent quality of the furniture, linens and bath fixtures. The washer and dryer were put to use immediately. But it was the kitchen that simply wowed us: not just the gas range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemakers, impressive crockery and other kitchen gadgets, but the cupboard with its three different kinds of vinegar, spices, oils, teas, coffees and sugars, as well as the cleaning supplies and paper goods that are really needed in a proper home away from home. We used some of these and left new ones for others. We not only were able to eat in, but to entertain company in style.
In this regard, the welcome basket from NicePebbles (with wine, milk, tea, coffee and cookies) was a really thoughtful touch, particularly as we arrived, tired, well past the closing time of most shops.
