The apartment is located in the central hub of the Old Town, rue Droite is famous for its long stretch of art galleries as well as bakeries, cafes, bistros, bars, and restaurants. In addition, the reputable, delicious restaurant Acchiardo is just next door. It is the perfect location to explore Nice and the French Riviera, with the bus and tram stops just a five minute walk away.

The beach, Promenade, and Cours Saleya with its daily market, can all be reached in minutes and the Chateau hill, with its incredible views, is just a ten minute walk away.

The living area is quirky and fun, whilst managing to retain a sense of style. For example, the stone fireplace comes complete with a wooden reindeer head just above! An oversized lamp, unusual patchwork rug, striking artwork and modern chandelier complete the look.

There is a traditional dining table and chairs, a large sofa and a decadent black armchair. Opposite the sofa is a wall mounted plasma TV with French cable which includes some English news channels. There is also Wi-Fi, a Bose iPod dock, and a DVD player.

The apartment is double glazed throughout, and the floor of the living area is tiled with traditional tomette tiles.

The stand-alone solid wood Habitat kitchen complements the apartment well. Equipped with wooden units, it has a large traditional ceramic sink, a gas cooker, fridge, and washing machine. There is also a small dining table, perfect for breakfast or light meals.

The charming bedroom consists of an antique double bed, a French replica wardrobe, two large chests of drawers and a small bureau with chair. There is a double glazed window and the same tomette-tiled floor that can be found in the living area.

The bathroom is newly renovated and comes with a large shower cubicle with mulit-jet shower, opaque glass wash basin with vanity unit below and large mirror above, and a toilet. There is decent shelving for personal products, as well as a shaving mirror.

Taxi ranks are easily found at all terminals and once inside will take around 25 minutes to reach your apartment in Nice Old Town. Most guests who take taxis choose to be dropped off at Palais de Justice because the area is pedestranised and the taxi driver will not be able to drive to the entrance of the apartment building. The 98 Airport shuttle bus is easy, cheap and convenient and just 6€. It runs every twenty minutes during the day, with less frequent service in the evenings and early mornings. Buses operate until 11:30pm (23:30). If you take the bus, we will meet you either at the bus stop Cathedrale Vieille Ville, next to the tram stop of the same name, or some guests prefer to meet outside their Nice apartment building, which is a four minute walk from the tram stop. Visit our transport page for more information, routes and timetables. If you are coming to Nice from somewhere else in France, we recommend you take an SNCF train to Gare Nice Ville . From there, the tram provides a cheap, convenient way to get to your apartment. When you leave the Gare, turn left and follow Avenue Thiers, until you come to Avenue Jean Medecin. The trams come every five minutes and tickets cost 1.50€. Take the tram to either Opera – Vielle Ville or Cathedrale - Vieille Ville as both are a short walk from the apartment. We suggest using the Opera – Vielle Ville stop, as it has a more direct route to the apartment, which makes the walk easier with luggage. We can meet you at the tram stop or outside the apartment building, as you prefer. If you prefer to take a taxi, this will take about 10-15 minutes from Gare Nice Ville. It may be necessary for the taxi to stop at Palais de Justice / Place St Francois as the Old Town of Nice is pedestranised, however it is an easy walk from the Place to the apartment that should take only a few minutes as it is only about 150 metres. The nearest car park to our Nice apartment Katja is Parking du Palais de Justice at Place du Palais de Justice. This car park is located just around the corner from the apartment, and should take only five minutes to walk from there to your apartment. Alternatively, parking is available at Parking Saleya car park off Rue Raoul Bosio, which is approximately six minute walk from Katja. We will send you a GPS reference and full address with your arrival details. Unfortunately, you can expect to pay up to 30€ a day for parking in central locations. We’ll meet you at the car park or the apartment, as you prefer.
