Celebrate New Year’s Eve as the French do with a feast of Foie Gras, oysters and champagne. The festivities are usually marked with fireworks, we've included details of places to go on the Riviera below:

NICE

In Nice, there is always an impressive fireworks display to bring in the New Year. Bring a blanket and a bottle of champagne and pick a spot down on the Promenade.  If you are still in the mood to party there are many places to celebrate in the Old Town and Pedestrian Zone.

Nice Acropolis throws a huge New Year’s Eve concert with music courtesy of the Philharmonique de Nice.

For the more adventurous, try the Riviera Bar Crawl-Soiree St Sylvestre. Tickets start at 35euros. http://rivierabarcrawl.com

CANNES

Cannes is synonymous with fantastic fireworks. Head to the Croisette, at midnight, to watch a spectacular display created by pyrotechnic designer Fabrice Chouillier.

Palm Beach Casino offers a diner and Brazilian themed show, with 10 € of gaming chips and a glass of champagne at midnight included in the price. Reserve your place before the 20^th of December.

MONACO

Dance the night away in Port Hercule, a DJ hosted party starts at 9.30pm.

However if dancing is not for you can head over to the Christmas village for the fireworks.

If you’re looking for a special treat, Buddha Bar in Monaco will provide an impressive dining experience on New Year’s Eve with a relaxed 1960s theme. Tickets cost 290 € per person, which includes a glass of champagne.

ANTIBES

There will be a fireworks display in Juan Les Pins on New Year’s Day from 6pm onwards.
